b. Select and teach your indicating behavior
Once your dog is consistently recognizing and indicating the source odor with his easily identifiable alerting behavior THEN re-teach Scent Pots from the beginning using a different odor and different containers.
Step 2
a. Teach new odor in hand; play the game in hand until he begins to offer his alerting behavior
b introduce the scent wheel
c. Teach the dog to move around the wheel

b. Deliberately cross contaminate
Step 4
USING STRESS SCENT
a. Reteach from beginning using scent sample
b. Dog meets Baseline Criteria
Baseline Criteria: 3 successive sets of 90%+ conducted on 2 subsequent sessions.
The criteria of switching from training mode to testing mode should be
- eager enthusiasm for the game;
- being able to find and alert to 3 different scents on the scent wheel;
- clear and consistent alerts.
